What exactly does the spirit of fear do?
Fear tells us to hide what we are really feeling.
What fear, or fears are you facing today.
Fear of failure, or rejection, not being enough, of losing control, fear of violence, illness or death, or any kind of phobia, that has you hiding.
The spirit of fear creates in people the overwhelming desire to hide from the world. Sometimes it had us put on a mask and hide from others, or even ourselves at times. Sometimes fear leads us to pretend to be someone we are not.
Fear often leads people to hide from God just like Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden.
“He said, “I heard the sound of You [walking] in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.””

Is your fear bigger than your faith? Who’s faith are you standing on, your faith or Gods faith in himself?
Are you standing on just your own faith, which can never be big enough, or on Gods faith in himself which spans eternity?

FEAR tells us we are not loved, and that we will never be worthy to be loved. Because of this common tactic of the enemy it is imperative that you learn to live loved. Scripture states that there is NOTHING that can separate us from His love.
A loving heart is a loved heart. You cannot say you love others yet hate yourself or others. Let go of any hate or unforgiving attitudes you have towards others. Fear keeps you bound in unforgiveness, and hate with the intent of both of those things to keep you bound in it’s chains. A forgiving heart is a forgiven heart and that heart has no place for hate. Fear will always lie to you and keep you captive, whereas love guides you into freedom. Love is the way of the kingdom of God.

In your battle to conquer fear, you will often find conflicting thoughts within your mind and emotions. Thoughts should never be allowed to enter your mind unchecked because of this. We should always be guided by Gods Word in renewing our minds to think full, clear thoughts. This can happen by learning how to think about things according to the spirit of God which is Holy Spirit. We renew our minds through reframing our thought patterns with the truth of the Word, and by replacing toxic thoughts with God’s thoughts.
The challenge comes when we allow feelings and emotions to lead and control our mind and thought processes. Emotions are, by nature, followers and were never meant to lead us, instead we must choose to follow the truth which is Jesus.
“We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.”

When it comes to our minds, the enemies strongest attack is their ability to feed us lies, or more accurately, accusations.
They try to convince us that what we did was unforgivable, that we are dirty and undeserving and unworthy of love.
All of their energy is spent trying to achieve a single goal: Doubt and Fear.
Doubt is their goal because they knows that is the fastest tool to shut off our faith. If we begin to doubt who God says we are, and what He promised us, then we are engaging in the opposite of our calling. We are exchanging confidence and expectation for fear and distrust.
Doubt weakens our resolve and saps our energy. It makes us question the most fundamental truths about who we are and allows The enemy to establish “a foothold” – a way for them to make the accusations even louder.

Do you realize God has given you a set of blueprints for you to be successful ? If you have a Bible, you have the blueprint for success, prosperity, and to live fearlessly. Read the word, learn your identity, meditate on it, and then just do it. That sounds to simple sometimes, so the question becomes, do we believe God? Do we think maybe The authors stretched the truth a bit here and there, or perhaps it was good for those back in the day but it’s just not relevant today?
Sadly many people treat their Bible like the owner’s manual in their car. Think about it when is the last time you pulled out your owner’s manual in the glove box which is kept safe for that time when we have a problem and we know just where to find it. Unfortunately, many believers don’t turn to their Bible until they have a problem.
God did not leave us empty-handed. He gave us the most powerful weapon most of the world has never known - His word. How strong is His word? “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12 NIV). The answer to every crisis (past, present or future) is in His word.

Have you heard the acrostic for the word FEAR which is False Evidence Appearing Real. This is absolutely truth and is one of the greatest tools the enemy uses in their bag of tricks to take down Gods kids. It’s really just all smoke and mirrors and lies that they whisper to you to try and convince you that you are not who God says you are. It’s imperative to remember that any god other than the Lord God is a false god. Satan is referred to by Paul as “the god of this world.” He also says, “Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14 NIV).
How many of you watched the Wizard of Oz as a child and remembers that curtain being pulled back and the wizard is exposed as just an ordinary man hiding behind a big facade. We need to realize now not later that we have given Satan and his minions too much credit and power.

The most amazing thing is that Jesus’ life didn’t end at Calvary. He tells us that He is the Living One and He will live forever. This spiritual fact is a huge contrast to the fact that every other god (fallen creature or angel) or person who has been worshipped. All the mortals died or will die and the fallen ones will be cast into the fiery pit as they bend their knee and acknowledge that Jesus is Lord — no exceptions.
Though our keys are different from His, they are extremely important for you to live a fearless life

Bind God’s word to yourself and your kids, and loose spiritual chains, lies, and wrong beliefs. These are probably the most important keys you will ever own; treasure them and use them daily to live fearlessly!

It’s a matter of trust
“Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock” (Psalm 27:3-5).
Think of all the men who tried to kill David: the giant Goliath, King Saul and his son Absalom just to name a few. David knew what it was like to have people try to kill him. Yet the only person David feared was the Lord.
So how does one fear the Lord without fearing the Lord?
In other words, how can you have a healthy, reverent awe of God without being afraid of Him? It all starts with a relationship, and to have a relationship with someone you have to spend time together with them. As you get to know someone, you can build that trust in them, and trust is the key. David trusted that the Lord was who He said He was.
The question is…do you trust who the Lord says He is in His word? “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).
Do you believe God is who He says He is?
Think of all the names of God (e.g., Jehovah Rapha, Jireh, Shalom) that reflect His character; they are all positive names of healing, providing, peace, and love. So what is not to like? If you would, close your eyes for just a moment and think of God and what image you have of Him. Now, do the same thing of Jesus. What image comes to mind of Him? Are they the same? Jesus said, “Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father” (John 14:9 NIV). And the writer of Hebrews tell us, “The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being” (Hebrews 1:3 NIV).
Many people have a distorted view of God. They think of Him as the big disciplinarian and they think of Jesus as the nice, friendly guy. If you don’t see Jesus and God in the same light, you need to change lenses. If you want to fear less, then trust more! “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5 NIV).
Say this Prayer: Dear God, forgive me for having a distorted image of who You really are. I want to be God-fearing without being afraid of You. Help me to invest my faith and place my trust in You, my loving heavenly Father. In Jesus name, Amen.

One acrostic for the word FEAR is Forget Everything And Run. I suspect if the apostles had not been on water many of them would have run when they saw what they thought was a ghost. What did it take to calm their fears? A few simple words from the Master. You see, they recognized His voice and Jesus said we can too. “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27 NIV).
So how does one recognize the Shepherd’s voice? A shepherd is with his flock day and night, so the sheep can differentiate the voice of their shepherd from anyone else. If you spend quality time with the Good Shepherd, you will recognize His voice too.
David, who was a good shepherd in his own right, said, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want…I will fear no evil, for You are with me” (Psalm 23:1,4 NIV). The Good Shepherd is your shepherd; just listen for His calming voice and fear no evil.

Living life in fear is not really living at all. What has fear done for you? Have you run from God to your own Egypt? Jonah tried to run in the opposite direction from God and ended up in the belly of a big fish. You can run but you cannot hide from God.

So my conclusion is this: Many are the sorrows and frustrations of those who don’t come clean with God. But when you trust in the Lord for forgiveness, his wrap-around love will surround you. So celebrate the goodness of God! He shows this kindness to everyone who is his. Go ahead—shout for joy, all you upright ones who want to please him!”

Say this Prayer:
Thank You Lord that You have never left me nor forsaken me. Forgive me for sometimes feeling I am in the battle all alone.
I renounce the spirit of fear and I say right now you no longer have a place in me and you must go where Jesus says to go. Jesus I am Yours and You are mine, so help me to keep myself from being polluted by the world. Use me as you will to advance Your Kingdom. Lord, I am asking you right now to fill that hole where fear once resided in me with Your Spirit with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control.
I ask you right now Father God to redeem the years fear has stolen from me. Help me to now fulfill the destiny you created me for. I thank you Lord for my freedom. I thank you Jesus for breaking the chains of bondage fear once had on me. Lord, all things truly are possible with You. Help me to never forget there is no problem too big, nor anything so insignificant I can’t take to You in prayer. I now really cannot think of a good excuse why I should fear anything life throws at me with You as my Savior and Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
